Denver portrait Photographer, Reese & Co Portraits

Hi, I’m Laura Esmond

I love to blend beauty and carefree moments into one space.

I love minimalism: negative space, soft textures and simple clothes.

I love generous blur, grain that feels like film, light that spills in warm and generous and rolling hills in the distance.

I love a close-up portrait so sharp you can count every eyelash.

I strongly believe artwork should be printed, not stored.

Because this how I want to remember my family as it is now.

And they're what I want to make for yours, because the days are finite, and they deserve to live somewhere you can see them.

A simple portrait Experience Designed
for beautiful Artwork in your home

I’LL GUIDE YOU THROUGH EVERYTHING FROM WHAT TO WEAR TO WHAT TO HANG.

Every session at Reese & Co Portraits begins with the end in mind: artwork in your home.

From styling support to gentle guidance during the session, I’ll lead you through an experience that results in finished heirloom portraits that tell the story of your family.

Imagine a wall that grows with you year after year, each session adding a new chapter. You’re going to love seeing it every day. You’ll be proud you made it happen.

A curated set of digitals are always included for safekeeping and sharing, but I don’t leave you with a gallery and a “good luck.” I help you envision how your images should live in your home, then guide you in creating a meaningful collection of artwork that becomes more valuable with every passing milestone.

You don’t need more photos.
You need preservation.

LOVE NOTES

why this matters

what legacy are you creating for your family?

When my grandmother passed away, I had the honor of sitting by her side and then packing up her belongings.

At the end, her belongings amounted to a slew of precious framed photos, albums, and boxes of heirlooms. This resonated so deeply with me that after 93 years, the only things she would carry to the end would be her memories in the form of photographs.

It occurred to me: how would I pass down heirlooms to my children? Would it be relic iPhones and dusty old hard drives? Or would there be artful and thoughtfully created portraits mixed with trips to the beach, beautifully encased in albums and quality frames?
