01 WHAT TO EXPECT
The Planning
Do you ever wonder why some photographs feel deeply personal, while others simply look like a pretty holiday card? We spend time before your session talking about more than what you’ll wear. We’ll think through location, light, styling, and most importantly, what we want these photographs to feel like. That planning builds trust between us, so when the session arrives, you can let go and be fully present.
You won’t spend the session wondering where your hands belong or reminding your children to smile. I’ll guide you when you need it, then give you room to forget about me. That’s when everyone’s guard begins to come down, the smiles become real, and the small gestures and connections I couldn’t possibly plan begin to unfold.

Later, we’ll sit down together and revisit your session. Some photographs will make you smile. Others will make you stop for a moment because they hold something you didn’t even realize you needed. The photographs that stay with us are rarely the ones we expected.

At your ordering meeting, we’ll choose the images you love most and, if you’d like, explore ways to complete your collection with the full gallery, prints, an album or a film.
